LANGKAWI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived here today to launch the 'Naturally Langkawi' branding marks to position the island as one of world's top 10 island destination.
Najib, who earlier had programs in Tanjung Dawai and Pantai Merdeka, arrived at the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) headquarters here about.
Present were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, Agricultural and Agro-Based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar and LADA chief executive officer Tan Sri Khalid Ramli.
The rebranding exercise is aimed to 'refresh' Langkawi as the top nature and duty-free island destination among both the local and foreign tourists.
The 'Naturally Langkawi' will spearhead LADA's efforts in achieving to generate RM3.8 billion revenue with the arrival of three million tourists by 2015.
